Walk from Fromista to Carrion de los Condes

April 3, 2011 – This day started grey and cold… it drizzled! but, the day ended warm in Carrion de los Condes.

Grey day on the Meseta.

This odd sculpture was in the town of Villalcazar de Sirga!

Sculptures of the Camino...

In Carrion de los Condes, there  was a supermarket “David”.  A friend insisted that we take a photo! It’s funny…

A grocery market! Hummmm

In the evening, we had dinner.  The “pilgrim” or “peregrino” menu typically has two courses and includes vino tinto, bread, and dessert.  The main course is usually limited to beef, chicken, pork, or fish.  This night included the unusual choice of quail… did I say I like choosing the unusual? I got to have two quail!  and what a treat!
